It's a cotton (PP) sediment filter: it traps sand, rust and pipe residue you can see on the cartridge. It is not a water softener and we don't promise it removes chlorine or minerals. Think of it as a first, simple layer of clean.
Yes, if your shower has a hose. It screws onto any standard 1/2" hose connector (the US standard) by hand โ no tools. The full kit also includes its own hose and wall holder.
When the cartridge looks clearly brown, usually every 4โ8 weeks depending on your water. Twist the handle open, swap the cartridge, done in 30 seconds. Five spares come with the full kit.
No โ the small nozzles concentrate the flow, so most people feel a stronger, fuller spray. Use the pause button to stop the water while you lather.
